The first stuff pack has been confirmed as The Sims 3 Design & Hightech Stuff and we have a release date for the 5th Feburary 2010. This is also an anniversary pack to celebrate the 10th year of The Sims so extra items are in this pack:

Plus Bonus Anniversary Items! This special 10th Anniversary pack also includes three well-loved items from The Sims and The Sims 2 games: the heart-shaped vibrating bed, the electric guitar, and the aquarium.

Slow Updates
Since Sunday there have been very slow updates to the site I'm sorry for this but I didn't have access to the internet from Sunday to wednesday this week due to us having some buliding work done. Updates shall continue as normal now.

Poll Update
The poll has been re-added to the site and should be fully functional, this weeks poll is 'What Sims 2 expansion would you like to see in The Sims 3?'

General Site Info
The favicon has been updated on the site. That just leaves me with a couple of bugs to sort out but those will be added when the christmas theme is launched at the end of the month.

The Sims 3 World Adventures has now been officially released in the UK and Europe. This is the final release of the expansion pack so everyone should now have it globally, although the USA got their game last Tuesday being the first to get their hands on it the earliest simmers got it in theh UK was Thurs 19th Nov.

EA Games released a patch a couple of days ago in time for the release of World Adventures you can find out whats been updated here: Patch 1.5/1.6

There was a problem with the patch causing some people to get the "Error Code 16" so EA has now released another patch to fix that which should automatically download when you open the launcher for The Sims 3, you can find the release notes for this patch here: Patch 1.7/2.2

The Sims 3 World Adventures Prima Guide free preview is avalible just like with all the guides they release, I find these quite good and helpful but you can't beat the real thing.

New Patch
              EA has announced on the UK forums that a new patch from 17th Nov 09 will be available for you               to download, as well as bug fixes it also contains new features.

              "Game Updates can contain full new features. For example, from November 17th there will               be an update available to you even if you only own The Sims 3. When you update your game,               you will get to use select new features made available from The Sims 3 World Adventures
              such as pagoda roofs and basements, without needing to purchase the entire game."

Site Update
             On the site the poll was having issues because with my host, webs.com you can't have forms until              you are past the 'provisional stage' which is 7 days from when it was opened hence why the poll has              been removed until next Saturday, 21st Nov.

             Since the site was re-opened on the 13th Nov I've been doing a lot of 'behind the scenes' updates to              the coding of the site so most of the updates you wouldn't notice but I have re-made the World              Adventures logo at the top of the news section on the home page.

Holiday Theme for Simolean Sims
Finally, as the Christmas period gets ever so closer we would like to make the site feel a little more festive with a 'Christmas 2009 Theme'. For those of you who visited the site last December would have seen the rather boring Christmas theme we did. This year however, we are planning a new banner, footer, background and news headers to really show our festive spirit. I have started work on the theme already to ensure I can iron out any little creases that I may come across in time for the launch of the theme. So when is this theme going to take hold? I will be uploading the new theme around Monday evening on 30th November in time for the 1st December.

As this template is a new one and only recently been uploaded to the site host, I have been coming across the odd bug in the site.
Here is a list of known issues:

Main background isn't compatible with all screen resoultions. Anything bigger than 17" may experience visual problems. This will be addressed soon with a new background for the site.

The Favicon doesn't display for some reason but I think this is a Webs.com issue rather than a coding issue so I will look into this one.

On the downloads page, you can't download the PSP walkthrough or the song Simple Pimple due to it being a zip file, this has now been changed by having the file viewable online rather than downloading the zip file.

The poll to the left hand side seems to have the message "This form is inoperational!" I know the cause of this and it's because I remade this account with webs.com and you have to have the site open for 7 days before you can use forms annoyingly so we will have to wait unitl then for that message to go.
